Welcome to the world of

Southwest Indigo

Southwest Indigo is an Atlanta based creative working primarily with pencils, acrylics and pastels. Her work is drawn from life experiences, places, while deeply rooted in her spirituality. With messaging of growth, freedom, sensuality, and even melancholy, her pieces are not always what initially meets the eye. Through her pieces, Indigo challenges herself to pause and see God in everything.

Her latest collection, Westside Fairies,  reimagines Atlanta neighborhoods that have shaped her into the creative she is today. These neighborhoods, now gentrified, are not only relics of the past but hold experiences and have carried life and love for generations.

Nothing Was the Same

This piece revisits a neighborhood that witnessed some of my earliest awakenings—where love first showed its complexities. Beneath the moonlit sky and shifting streets, echoes of family linger. The landscape has changed, but the lessons remain etched in memory: quiet teachings on what I needed to leave behind, and who I hoped to become.

A blooming form with radiant centers, this sketch portrays the womb space—alive and glowing. Layered petals surround the body, calling attention to the sacred power of creation and intuition. It’s a celebration of feminine energy in full bloom.

Living Waters

An ode to the church that raised me, Living Waters honors the spiritual roots that shaped my heart. Here, I learned that grace makes room for imperfection, and that love—when lived out—can be its own kind of miracle. This piece reflects a journey of faith, growth, and the steady light of leaders who didn’t just teach the fruits of the spirit, but embodied them.
